Transition from AIS to AIM

Aim of the course

This course is designed to impart knowledge on motives, the steps involved in the transition(the roadmap) and current developments to provide a more efficient and effective AIM.

Pre-entry requirements

Minimum age: 21 years.

Education or Qualification Requirements: Aeronautical Information Officers Course.

Medical requirements: Nil.

Linguistic requirements: Fluent in English Language.

Credits for previous knowledge, experience or other qualifications

 - World Geodetic System 1984 (WGS 84)

- Electronic Terrain Obstacle Data (ETOD)

- Quality Management System in AIM

- System Wide Information Management (SWIM)

- GNSS and the PBN concept

- Aeronautical Information Conceptual and Exchange Model (AIXM)

- ICAO Global Air Navigation Plan (GANP)
