ICAO Insider Risk Workshop

Course Aim

This workshop is designed to equip participants with knowledge, skills and attitude required to assist in the identification and development of Insider Threat Scenarios and the implementation of aviation security preventive measures in accordance with appropriate aviation security programmes, and prescribed international aviation security standards and recommended practices.

Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) and Aviation Operators personnel, including aviation security managers, inspectors, auditors, and regulatory oversight staff
Government security and law enforcement personnel.
Security, risk, and compliance professionals.
Members of aviation security committees and programme development teams responsible for threat assessment, security planning, and the implementation of aviation security programmes in accordance with national and international requirements.

Entry Requirements

Currently employed in a role related to aviation security, airport operations, airline operations, or a government agency with aviation security responsibilities OR
Involvement in or designated to participate in aviation security functions such as risk assessment, threat management, compliance, or implementation of security measures.
Ability to communicate effectively in English

Workshop Content

Understand and apply general principles of risk management
Define and understand risk assessment as it applies to insider-based risks in aviation security
Understand relevant Annex 17 standards
Apply risk management principles to insider-based vulnerabilities in aviation security operations.
