This workshop is designed to equip participants with knowledge, skills and attitude required to contribute effectively to the development, implementation, review, and continuous improvement of an effective NCASP.

Participants should be at the middle or senior management level with responsibilities in the development, approval and/or implementation of the NCASP
Entry Requirements
Those who work for the National Appropriate Authority responsible for aviation security, other regulatory authorities, and/or other stakeholders that have an active role in the development and/or implementation of NCASP
Previous knowledge and/or experience in aviation security operations or oversight; and
Ability to communicate effectively in English
Workshop Content
Define the purpose and objectives of the NCASP and establish the roles and responsibilities of all aviation security stakeholders.
Assess the legislative and regulatory requirements needed to support an effective aviation security programme, including compliance with national and international standards.
Implement security controls and protective measures for cargo, airports, aircraft, navigational aids, personnel, vehicles, and other items entering secure areas.
Develop effective communication and training frameworks to support aviation security operations and stakeholder coordination.
Understand and apply relevant Amendments to Annex 17 requirements, including behaviour detection, risk-based security measures, MANPADS, landside security, security technology, cyber-threat considerations, and NCASP development team composition.
