Thirty-seven(37) participants have commenced the Flight Operations Officer/Flight Dispatcher training programme at the Tanzania Civil Aviation Training Centre (CATC). The programme, which runs from 20 July to 6 November 2026, is designed to equip participants with the knowledge and practical skills required to plan, coordinate and monitor flight operations in accordance with international aviation safety standards and operational requirements.

Throughout the training, participants will gain expertise in key areas including flight planning, meteorology, aircraft performance, fuel planning, risk management and compliance with aviation regulations. These competencies are essential for ensuring that flight operations are conducted safely, efficiently and in line with industry best practices.

Speaking at the official opening of the programme, CATC Principal Mr. Aristid Kanje encouraged participants to make the most of the opportunity by committing themselves to learning and upholding the highest standards of professionalism. He noted that Flight Operations Officers and Flight Dispatchers play a critical role in ensuring that every flight is carefully planned and safely executed, and expressed confidence that the training would prepare participants to meet the evolving needs of the aviation industry.

Mr. Kanje further reaffirmed CATC’s commitment to delivering internationally recognized training through International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), compliant curricula, experienced instructors and a modern learning environment.
